Damp patches, peeling paint and musty smells are common in Costa del Sol properties, but they rarely have a single obvious cause. A moisture investigation combines non-destructive measurement with practical building knowledge to narrow down where moisture is coming from and how far it has spread.

Important limitations
Moisture meters help identify and compare moisture conditions, but readings must be interpreted according to the material and measurement mode. A meter does not detect or identify mould, and hidden conditions inside a construction can sometimes only be confirmed by opening it up.

Frequently asked questions
Can you tell me if it is mould?
We can describe visible mould-like growth and the moisture conditions around it. Identifying the organism requires laboratory analysis, which we do not carry out.
Will you need to drill or remove tiles?
Our investigations are primarily non-destructive. If opening up is needed to confirm a cause, we will explain why and agree it with you first.
Is it condensation or a leak?
Distinguishing the two is one of the main goals. Pattern, timing, measurements and surrounding conditions usually point in one direction.
